Capturing connections and sharing memories
My childhood mostly consisted of my siblings and I running wild and free, barefoot down the farm – picking wildflowers, making forts out of pine trees and losing ourselves in daydreams and make believe. I like to think that this early love of nature and wild abandon carries on in my photography, as I get to capture my clients in some of the most amazing spots around the Bay of Plenty.
As an adult, my wanderlust for adventure and nature has bought me back to Ohope where I have planted my roots to raise my own spirited boys. It’s here, that we’re finding a new love for the beauty that the ocean and bush hold and trying to give our best to our children. I’ve found motherhood and family to be the most precious gifts this life has given me and I strive to find and create beauty in those relationships daily. It’s that inspiration and gratitude that enables me to capture authentic moments for the families that I get to meet. I hope to meet you and capture your story in a way that makes you feel the deep love you have for your own family and shared memories.

Like most mums I was nervous about having family photos with young children. Andrea however made the whole shoot effortless and was able to capture my 10 month old and 2 year old beautifully. The good news is most people are not confident in front of the camera and still have beautiful family photos. It's my job to guide you throughout the photo session and make you feel at ease! I also prepare you beforehand so you come into the experience feeling good to go. Don't worry! I've got you!
How do I get my photos printed?
Once your gallery is ready you can order photos online through this gallery. You can order any sized print, framed prints, canvas, photo magazines, and albums. It's such an easy process and they make for great gifts too!
Do you travel?
I do! I am based in Ohope, Bay of Plenty so anything beyond 30 minutes travel requires a travel fee. I use the standard IRD travel rate of 82 cents per kilometre.
Do you have payment plans?
Yes! I do.
Genoapay are a payment option I offer. It requires no fees. You just need to pay off your session fee within 10 weeks.
How many images come in a gallery?
Most galleries have roughly 50-80 edited photos from the session. Depending on what package you get, you will choose a set amount of digitals from the gallery. For example 'The important bits' package gives you 15 edited digitals and you'd select 15 photos from the full gallery.
What if my kids don't behave?
This is such a common concern with family photos. I take time to get to know your little ones. Yes there may be tantrums, not wanting to have their photo taken but I can guarantee that we will still get some lovely shots with a bit of patience. If you've seen my work a lot of it is very natural and not too posed so your kids will be more relaxed coming on an adventure with their family with me capturing it.
What if I want the full gallery in digitals?
Once you receive your full online gallery you will see a store attached. This store gives you the option of purchasing prints, framed prints etc. It also gives you the option of purchasing extra digitals. A single digital download is $50. The full gallery digital download is $350.
What do I need to do to book?
If you're keen to book you just need to get in touch via email or the contact page and I'll grab a few details off you. I require a 50% retainer and a signed contract for you to lock me in for your session.
What do I get with my package?
Each package comes with a different set of digital images. Digital images are high resolution files. You are sent these as a download link once you choose the set amount from the gallery provided. Depending on the package, you will also receive a print. Take another look above at the packages and see what one suits you.
