Like most mums I was nervous about having family photos with young children. Andrea however made the whole shoot effortless and was able to capture my 10 month old and 2 year old beautifully. As someone who does not like to be on the other side of a camera Andrea created an environment where it was like she wasn't there and therefore able to capture natural pictures of our family. Andrea also had to deal with me being indecisive which must of being such a pain but she totally didn't show it. We are in love
My childhood mostly consisted of my siblings and I running wild and free, barefoot down the farm – picking wildflowers, making forts out of pine trees and losing ourselves in daydreams and make believe. I like to think that this early love of nature and wild abandon carries on in my photography, as I get to capture my clients adventuring in our amazing backdoor.
As an adult, my wanderlust for adventure and nature has bought me back to Ohope where I have planted my roots to raise my own spirited boys. It’s here, that we find a new love for the beauty that the ocean and bush hold and trying to give our best to our children. I’ve found motherhood and family to be the most precious gifts this life has given me and I strive to find and create beauty in those relationships daily. It’s that inspiration and gratitude that enables me to capture authentic moments for the families that I get to meet. I hope to meet you and capture your story in a way that makes you feel the nostalgia of childhood and the deep love you have for your own family.
